Norton Bar & Courtyard

Our rich heritage

The epitome of our rich heritage; blending detailed oak panelling with modern opulence and luxury, Norton Bar & Courtyard is our resident and non-resident bar, serving classic cocktails, tantalising spirits and fine whiskies.

Children over the age of 8 years old are welcome at Grantley Hall and can dine with their parents, however from 8pm onwards we have an over 12 policy. Please note that we do not accept dogs. Please see our full policies here.

About The Norton Courtyard

Open seven days a week, the Norton Courtyard offers guests exquisite traditional British dishes made from the finest Yorkshire ingredients and an extensive range of tempting drink options. 

Bask in the Yorkshire sunshine, coupled with the surrounding beautifully manicured gardens and tranquil sounds of the River Skell, the Norton Courtyard is a stunning setting to enjoy catching up with friends and family over fantastic food and decadent drinks. 

About The Norton Bar

The intimate environment created of rich Italian marble and dark wood décor flawlessly recaptures the luxuriant lifestyle enjoyed in bygone days. Decorated with an eclectic array of books and antiques, Norton Bar is the perfect haunt to relax and let yourself soak in the unique ambience of Grantley Hall.

Enjoy a mid-afternoon tipple - made of the finest spirits, a pre-dinner glass of champagne in our outdoor courtyard, or sink in to one of our deep leather armchairs and watch the world go by. 

Menu


All dishes at Grantley Hall are cooked to order based on the best seasonal ingredients available. Parties of nine or more guests will be required to pre-order from the A La Carte menu. Larger tables are seated before 7:00pm and after 9:00pm in order that we can ensure the best possible service to all Grantley guests dining with us. Our sales team will be delighted to advise the menu choices available and all dietary requirements can be catered for. Please send group and private dining enquiries to events@grantleyhall.co.uk


We accommodate all reasonable dietary requests, however any of our dishes may contain allergens. If you have any serious allergies or intolerances, please inform our team at time of booking. If you have a particular lifestyle choice, our dishes are marked accordingly so please choose from the available menus.

ABOUT THE RIVER TERRACE

The River Terrace at Grantley Hall offers a brand new, unique dining location. Perched gracefully above the tranquil River Skell, The River Terrace offers an alfresco dining experience that extends the beloved atmosphere of the Norton Courtyard. Open for lunch, it provides the perfect setting for enjoying an exquisite afternoon amidst nature’s splendour. 

The River Terrace is open seven days a week on a weather permitting basis. Bookings are only essential for dining and The River Terrace welcomes guests (both hotel residents and non-residents) who would just like to enjoy a relaxed drink or two.
