Emma Platts takes on cycling challenge for charity

We are incredibly proud of our ELITE Head Coach, Emma Platts as she plans a gruelling charity virtual bike ride of 144 miles on a spin bike. The challenge will be completed on the weekend 11th July in our very own state-of-the-art ELITE gym.

Money raised from the arduous ride will go to support Rydale Special Families, a fantastic charity that supports children and young people with disabilities in North Yorkshire. Founded in the 1990s by a small group of parents with disabled children, it’s grown significantly over the past 25 years, and today provides care and support for more than 400 families throughout the Ryedale district. The money raised from this Virtual 2020 event will give the charity a huge boost in helping them achieve their future projects and if you would like to donate, please visit: https://bit.ly/31bZrKR

As a keen cyclist and fitness enthusiast, Emma has completed countless charity events over the years and is very much looking forward to the event. Training for this challenge is no easy feat and Emma has incorporated Crossfit workouts to help her build strength while developing her endurance capacity.

Best of luck Emma!
