A Lockdown Success

Amy Brooksbank passing her HND Degree in Hospitality Management
As we reopen Grantley Hall we are looking back at some of our lockdown successes and we are delighted to announce that our Events Sales Manager, Amy Brooksbank, passed her HND Degree in Hospitality Management. The course took a total of two years to complete and Amy’s hard work and determination paid off when she passed in June.

Amy started with Grantley Hall nearly three years ago and in line with the hotel’s commitment to developing staff members she enrolled in the course to help her flourish in her new role of Events Sales Manager. Refining her knowledge and skills in events, financial planning and forecasting, and effectively performing SWOT analyses, Amy has used what she has learnt to add value in many areas of the business.

This is what Amy had to say about her Degree in Hospitality Management:

“Grantley Hall gave me an amazing opportunity to take part in a degree accredited by HIT Training and they showed me great support in allowing me to spend time on projects for my degree.

Within my new role with the company as Event Sales Manager, I felt that having a better understanding of detailed forecasting and budgeting would prepare me for my new position.

I’m so pleased all the extra work paid off and now I can implement the skills I learnt in helping the business thrive.”

Well done Amy from all the team at Grantley Hall, we couldn’t be prouder!
