Covid-19 Update

Good to go

Dear guests and friends,

Following the government announcement on Wednesday 8th December and confirming a move to Plan B to prohibit the spread of COVID-19, Grantley Hall kindly encourages the use of face masks in public areas of the hotel unless exempt due to medical conditions. Masks can be removed once seated. Our team will also now be wearing face masks or visors except when serving within a restaurant environment.

Hand sanitising stations continue to be available throughout the hotel. There are no current restrictions on events or Christmas parties taking place. Any guest attending an event where there will be dancing and alcohol served past 01:00, it is legally required to show either a valid COVID-19 passport or an up to date negative lateral flow test. These will be checked on arrival to the event at the start of the evening.

If a guest does not have either of these available then we will have some lateral flow tests on-site that we can provide. This is to ensure that we keep all of our guests and staff safe at this time. Read below for our key COVID policies and frequently asked questions. Alternatively, you can read our full COVID-19 policies and procedures here.

We would like to thank you all for your ongoing support and we look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel soon.

Frequently Asked Questions

Following the government announcement on Wednesday 8th December, Grantley Hall kindly encourages the use of face masks in public areas of the hotel. Face coverings may be removed when seated in a bar or restaurant. Guests are required to where their face mask or covering in the spa treatment rooms as they are in close proximity with their spa therapist.
Following the relaxing of the COVID guidelines, we are committed to respecting the needs and concerns of our guests. Our team members will be available to escort guests to their bedrooms if required and will be able to provide as much, or as little, interaction as required by each individual guest.

Menus will be available to view on our hotel app which guests can download to their mobile phones.

For guests wishing to enjoy the delicious menus and extensive wine list in the comfort of their own bedrooms then we are pleased to advise that we will no longer be charging a tray charge for any room service orders.

Grantley Hall is fortunate to be able to offer a selection of private dining rooms for small, private gatherings. These spaces provide perfect, intimate surroundings to celebrate those special occasions we love to share with those close to us.

Guests are requested to book their spa treatments in advance to avoid disappointment.

Client consultation forms and medical questionnaires will once again be completed at the time of treatment with your spa therapist.

We do ask that guests continue to use their face masks or coverings when in the spa treatment rooms as they are in close proximity with their spa therapist.

PPE will be provided to team members where appropriate including face masks, disposable gloves and additional uniform supplies, which will be washed at the hotel to ensure each item is clean at the start of every shift.
All visitors to the hotel will find increased hand sanitisation facilities, an increase in public area cleaning protocols and a robust audit process to ensure that all new regimes are being implemented.
Use of a professional steam cleaner that kills all bacteria at a temperature of 70 degrees. This will be predominantly used in the spa wet areas such as changing rooms, showers and floors.
In our bedrooms, all floors will be cleaned with our I-mops using Tersano oxygenated water or with ECOLAB alkaline floor cleaners for all different floor types, each with different brushes. We will continue to use our Ozone generator machine which is a proven disinfectant tool that safely kills both airborne germs and those on hard and soft surfaces. ECOLAB products will be used for cleaning and sanitising the room, high touched areas, etc , plus opening doors and windows to allow the room to ventilate as we clean.
An amenities kit will be provided to all residents which includes:
  • Facemasks and gloves
  • Antibacterial handwash
