  • Work alongside the Head Porter(s), Night Duty Manager and Night Porter Supervisor to ensure the operation runs smoothly in the absence of the Front Office Manager/Assistant Front Office Manager
  • Point of contact for all guests, ensuring that their needs are satisfied prior to, during and after their stay
  • To liaise with Reception, Hotel Porters and Housekeeping regarding arrivals and departures
  • Responsible for preparing and delivering training to the Reception team and liaising with the Learning and Development department
  • Carry out Reception and Night Porter shifts when required to and assist during peak periods
  • To be visible in the Front Hall as a point of contact for our guests during their stay and to constantly strive to please all guests that you may come in to contact with
  • Assist the Reservations team in taking reservation calls when necessary, managing room availability and ensuring maximum occupancy and revenue
  • Deal with any guests who have complaints involving any of the services of the hotel and escalating to the relevant Heads of Department, Assistant Managers or Duty Managers when necessary
  • Be flexible in one’s duty and to carry out additional tasks when requested and when the business demands
  • Any other duties, deemed necessary

About You
• Experience in a similar position in a luxury environment desirable, however full training will be given
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Computer literate, previous experience in using PMS is essential, however training will also be given on this
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
• Well presented, adhering to Grantley Hall’s grooming standards at all times
• Full, clean driving licence due to our insurance policies is desirable
• Use of own initiative with willingness to go above and beyond in supporting the wider Grantley Hall team
