As part of the luxury redevelopment of the 17th Century Grantley Hall, there will be the addition of the Grantley Academy – a dedicated on-site training facility headed up by an inhouse team.
The Grantley Academy will work with current and potential staff to develop and grow their skills and experiences in order to progress in their hospitality careers.
Many of our courses will be provided by industry specialists with specialist departmental training, leadership and management courses and professional qualifications being some of the many training and development opportunities available at Grantley Hall.
There will be a blended approach to learning at the academy, with technical and behavioural training being offered, as well as one to one, classroom and computer-based learning.
Samantha Fearnley, Director of HR said of the academy “We passionately believe that in order to have outstanding service, we need to offer industry leading training to our staff.
That’s why we put continuous learning at the heart of everything we do, thus, not only benefitting our people, but ensuring that our guests receive the highest quality experience with us at Grantley Hall”.
Amy Brooksbank, Wedding and Special Events Co-ordinator has been part of the Grantley Hall team since November 2017 and having worked in the industry for eight years, is keen to take the next step in her career.
As part of Grantley Hall’s personal development plan, which supports each individual’s career aspirations, Amy has now begun studying for her Hospitality Management Level 4 Qualification (specialising in Sales and Revenue) with HIT Training which has been fully funded through our Grantley Training Academy.
Amy said “I’m grateful to Grantley Hall for giving me this opportunity that will help expand my knowledge in areas of the business in which I’d like to develop further.
“Samantha and the team at HIT Training have been a great help and have already shown great support - this is important to me as it has instilled confidence to excel in my learning”.
